What is BH Series?
The new registration mark is termed the Bharat series (BH
series) and once a passenger gets this, they'll not re-register their car or
bike while moving to a brand-new state/UT.
What is BH series registration?
Vehicles registering under the BH system are levied road tax
for 2 years and in multiple of two thereafter, rather than the owner paying for
the full amount of 15 years' worth of road tax upfront. This frees the owner
from having to hunt a refund before or after relocation because the tax has not
pre-paid.
What
is the BH number plate?
The Indian government has released a replacement kind of
vehicle number plate designed to resolve the matter of the relocation of the
vehicle registration from one state to a different. It's called the new BH
(Bharat) Series. ... So for a vehicle registered in 2021, it might read “21 BH
0000 AA”.
Who can apply?
The ‘BH’ Bharat Series
registration facility “will be available voluntarily to the Defense
personnel, employees of the Central government, government, Central/ State
Public Sector Undertakings and personal sector companies or organizations,
which have their offices in four or more states or union territories,” the
ministry stated.
How to apply?

First things first, you'll need a ‘No Objection
Certificate (NOC)’ from the parent state of your vehicle, i.e., the state it
had been bought in.
- •
Once you pay the requisite road tax on a pro
rata basis within the new state, a replacement registration mark is going to be
assigned for your vehicle.
- • Then, fill within the form for a refund on the road tax within the parent state.
